Dr. Zidile has incorporated the latest digital impression system by 3Shape into his practice. At the initial consultation (and at other times during treatment) a narrow wand will be used to scan the teeth in your mouth – no messy impression materials to deal with!

The scan data obtained is accurate to under 9 Microns – 0.000354331 of an inch! Aside from the accuracy, the scan images are in full color and completely 3D.

Primary uses for the digital impression scans are:
1. High detailed documentation of the existing condition of the teeth and bite – this will help Dr. Zidile and the General Dentist in the treatment planning phase;
2. Lab fabrication of various bite appliances, Night Guards, & PerioProtect trays.
3. Computer guides to assist in dental implant placement.
4. Manufacture of dental implant restorations, including computer milled implant abutments and temporary crowns
